The Future of Parenting: AI-Powered Baby Development Tracking App

November 24, 2020

Parenting is tough, especially during these unprecedented times in which we’re living. So why should you have to parent alone and guess your way through this greatest and most challenging journey?

The Marble app, a new interactive app powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, promises to help you parent with confidence. Artificial intelligence uses large-scale datasets to better inform and predict medical metrics, and the Marble app brings customized insights specific to your baby using AI. As your baby develops, Marble updates its evidence-based resources to provide a tailored experience.

The app was envisioned and designed by a panel of experts, which includes Dr. Phedias Diamandis, Dr. Nardin Samuel, and Dr. Michael Papaioannou. They had the idea to equip parents with a unique approach to track and optimize baby development.

Having worked together and started the journey to parenthood simultaneously, the team of experts wanted to create an inclusive app that reflected the diversity of families in the 21st century.

“There is no blueprint for caring for a new baby and being a new parent. With so many apps and blogs out there, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Marble is an app-based platform for personalized assessment and tracking of your baby’s development. Such a resource is the first of its kind and will transform our understanding of each child’s unique growth and development,” said Dr. Samuel.

Tracking an infant’s milestones during their first few years of life ensures that babies are developing at a standard rate appropriate for their age. Certain milestones can be used as benchmarks to ensure that the infant is following a typical developmental trajectory. Tracking an infant’s development can also help parents detect specific and potentially detrimental health conditions that may be ameliorated with early intervention.

The Marble app provides users with a personalized homepage full of resources related to all the developmental milestones so that parents can make informed decisions for their babies.

“There are certain milestone benchmarks during an infant’s development that can be used as checkpoints, expected within a specific age range for a typical developmental trajectory. Tracking these is critical to ensure that babies are developing appropriately,” said Dr. Papaioannou, “Marble lets you track each of your baby’s developmental milestones and compare them against an increasingly accurate and customized range to assess your baby’s developmental track.

With the Marble app, parents get access to an all-in-one tool that’s easy to handle and includes all baby-related information in one platform. Tired and anxious parents no longer need to spend hours on Google searching for information or using multiple apps to track their baby’s development. Marble has extensive information to educate parents and inform them of their baby’s progress.

“The apps that exist in the market today are very generic. There has been little research done on early infant milestones and whether they affect certain traits,” said Dr. Papaioannou, “We wanted to expand on the apps that are in the market and develop something novel from an academic perspective, based on evidence-based research.”

With evidence-based parenting, Marble’s team of experts want to empower other parents to learn and tune in to their child’s unique development, nurturing their skills so that their baby can grow and develop to their fullest potential.

“The more you put into it, the more you will get out. Marble is an easy-to-use app that will allow you to gain confidence in tracking and supporting your child’s development,” said Dr. Diamandis, “Use the app to its potential by logging activities daily, sharing milestones with family and friends, and following the updates from our experts.”

The future of parenting starts now – download the Marble app on the App Store or Google Play to start your unique journey.
